MULTIPLICATION WITH 11
MULTIPLICATION : We can easily multiply any two digit number with 11 very very easily . After learning this trick you even don’t need any pen or copy to solve !! ALL MENTALLY !!
Suppose you have to multiply AB with 11 then
All you have to do is follow these quick easy steps :-
Step – 1) Split the numbers given to you
AB

A B
Step – 2)These are the end digits of your final answer
Step – 3) The middle digit is sum of the two digits given that is
A+B = c
Now simply AcB is your final product on multiplication of AB with eleven
NOTE : If c is double digit number then the tens digit of c goes to carryover above A and units digit is written in the middle .
EXAMPLE 1
34 x 11
= 34 3 4
/ \ / \
3 c 4 3 (3+4) 4
\ I /
c = 3+4 = 7 3 7 4
Final answer 374
EXAMPLE 2
57 x 11
= 5 7
/ \
5 (5+7) 7
\ I /
5 12 7
Over here 12 is a double digit number so its tens digit will go to carryover
+1
5 2 7
So final answer is 627
