Author : Ekta Sharma

Yellow zone means less level of restrictions in a state to prevent the state and country from variant of COVID-19. In Delhi positivity rate of COVID-19 including omicron variant, has gone up to 28 percent.

In this situation, the DDMA ( DELHI DISASTER MANAGEMENT & AUTHORITY) formulated the Guidelines to be followed. The “Level 1” or “Yellow Alert” guidelines say cinema halls will be open on odd-even dates. Also gyms will be closed, while night curfew remains in force.

Omicron cases have been observed to be increasing rapidly in Delhi. To prevent the citizens, prior steps has been taken this time. Seeing the impending vulnerable situation Delhi Government has already imposed weekend curfew. Making people concerned and afraid about facing a devastating lockdown which may be forced if situations in the country worsen. In the mean time when students were demanding to open Universities spike of COVID-19 destroyed that.

Also to put restrictions is temporary but necessary and even appreciable. It seems like Delhi government has taken steps to reduce the risk factors of COVID-19. It is a step taken to avoid the prior experience of Delhi.

What can we do?

While Delhi is in Yellow Zone, this is the time where people also need to be aware. We need to avoid weekly market rush and crowd gathering, mask and sanitizer use, proper washing of hands and support government in this hard time of COVID 19.

We should try to do something which will reduce the lockdown needs and this can be done only when people will take responsibility to avoid gathering and instead of ignoring the gravity of COVID 19, they need to take precautions.
Precaution is always Better than cure!
