After Will Smith slapped him at the Oscars 2022, Chris Rock’s comedy tour has seen a rise in ticket prices and sales. Before and after the event, compare the prices of the cheapest tickets.

Comedian Chris Rock is experiencing a jump in the sale and price of tickets for his forthcoming stand-up show after being slapped by actor Will Smith on the 94th Academy Awards stage. “We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the prior month combined,” TickPick, an online ticketing reseller, posted on Twitter. On March 18, the lowest ticket was $46 ($3,500), but it has already risen to $411 ($31,274). Kyle Zorn, TickPick’s publicist, also tweeted, “On Wednesday, Chris Rock will play at the Wilbur Theatre… On March 18th, the cheapest ticket went for $46. $411: Currently cheapest ticket (data from @TickPick).” He was retweeted by TickPick.

Chris will perform six gigs at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre from March 30 to April 1, according to Variety. On April 2, he will embark on his Ego Death World Tour. According to the article, Boston event tickets sold out immediately, but resale sites like Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, and Stubhub still had seats available.

Chris’ tour will take him to over 30 cities and include 38 concerts. New York, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Oakland, Toronto, and Chicago are among the cities where he will perform. He’ll appear in Atlantic City after Boston, and his tour will conclude on November 17 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Chris’ tour will come to a close at the same arena where he was assaulted by Will. Will Smith’s wife, the actress Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia, was promised by the comedian, who was one of the show’s presenters, that she might appear in GI Jane 2. It’s ostensibly a follow-up to a film about a female soldier with a shaved head.

Will then walked up to the stage and slapped Chris. “Keep my wife’s name out of your f****** lips!” he yelled as he returned to his seat. Will was named Best Actor at the Oscars a few minutes after the incident. He apologized for his behavior during his acceptance speech.

Later, he apologized publicly to Chris on Instagram. In one section of his email, he said, “Chris, I’d like to openly apologize to you. I was both out of line and incorrect. I’m embarrassed, and my actions do not reflect the guy I aspire to be. Violence has no place in a world of love and peace.”
