This case was filed by NIA in 2017, a terror funding case where Yasin Malik with the help of oth who actually fueled an atmosphere of terror in the Kashmir Valley.
Also, we remember the death of terrorist Burhan Wani, now there were allegations that have proven that NIA has gathered that shell company has created and then the money is transferred from Pakistan and UAE( United Arab Emirates) for the likes of terrorist Hafiz Saeed. A shell company was created by businessman Zahoor Watali and a link was established by the NIA.
This money was transferred to Yasin Malik and then used this money in the Kashmir Valley for creating terror among the public.
Remember during that point of time 89 cases of stone-pelting were also registered in Kashmir valley. This is the case of the 2017 terror funding case that is being charged yet.
Court’s Decision
NIA court gives a life sentence to Yasin Malik. Court has given a quantum of punishment i.e. life imprisonment that is largely expected in this case. As the prosecution was done and Yasin Malik himself didn’t contest the case. He made a political speech in the court rather than talking about the case. Special NIA court on May 25 sentenced Malik to life imprisonment apart from a fine of rupees 10 lakh.
The Judicial System of our Country
Our judicial system becomes better day by day. Their decisions are very accurate but at the time this case was heard is not very appreciated. Many innocent people lost their loved ones in that terror attack. Also many of them lost their livelihood, their houses everything. Our judicial system has to change this attitude toward hearing any case.
