What is the Role of Medical field in the society?
Our Guest Dr. Suresh answers with delirium that entering into the Medical Field is not about Money, one should never enter into this field for the sake of money. Become a Doctor to serve the people, to cure the ill ones, become one for self satisfaction that you actually feels like coming within you.
Dr. Suresh explains Many Medical Professions for example BAMS – Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, BHMS – Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, BDS -Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
What is the procedure one may observe to enter the medical field?
Dr. Suresh explains that for taking admission or entering into the medical field, one has to obtain Good Marks in class 10th and Should opt Biology as a main subject with other subjects like Chemistry and physics as well as English in both class 11th and in class 12th. The minimum marks in all these subjects should be 50 percent. After obtaining this many marks in each subject, the next step is the Medical Entrance Exam, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, ‘NEET’.
Whether NEET consists of entrance exam for all the Institutes?
As said by Dr. Suresh, to enter into Medical College, earlier, there used to be entrances held by different different colleges but as of now all you have to give is a one Entrance exam, which is NEET. Dr. Suresh confirms that all medical field exams come under NEET, it’s just the Marks criteria is different. To take an admission in a good college for MBBS, one needs higher and good marks.
To take an Admission in any Medical institution either it can be Government College or Private Institution, one has to give an entrance exam NEET for both. For instance, one gets marks crossing the required cut off of the various government institution, then the admission can be taken into Government college.
One gets an average mark , Private Medical Institutions are also an Option . For getting admitted into any foreign university, again one has to clear NEET.
Pros & Cons of the medical Profession
Talking about the Cons and Pros of the Medical Field, Dr. Suresh keeps his opinion that Entering into the Medical Field will gradually help the Society. As more Aspirants are opting Medical Field in India, the number of Doctors will increase in India, and it will be helpful as the population is increasing rapidly day by day and there’s a lack of Doctors.
As of the Cons, The Increase in Medical Aspirants leads to less no. of seats in medical colleges which results high Competition , high cutoffs . And those who rent able to get sets in medical colleges goes through various dilemmas such as stress , suicidal notions , some even drop out and some uses weapon of corruption / illegal gratification. Now as we have noticed that many medical aspirants are applying for foreign medical universities because of the less number of medical seats in colleges.
After the completion of the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or super-specialty (SS) course, the medical degree is awarded to the candidates. Also, to obtain a medical degree, aspirants must have completed the training or internship for the specified time period.
Pursuing a medical degree requires utmost dedication and focus. As the level of study increases, the level of completion also increases.
Candidates must choose the medical degree they wish to pursue carefully. Getting a medical degree in any particular speciality after graduation is a choice which candidates must take after considering all possibilities. Only dedication and the right decision is what is required the most.
