Cyberspace and Internet- Blessing or Curse to the Human Civilization in the long run

Dear Readers, First of all, I want to introduce Cyberspace. The term “cyberspace” has become a conventional means to describe anything which is associated with the Internet and the diverse Internet culture. Cyberspace is a concept, which describes a widespread, inter-connected digital technology. Examples of cyberspace are the home of Google, Yahoo, Facebook and many more. It is a tremendous network of data which is available for everyone to use. Now, let us connect the Internet with Cyberspace, to connect both, we can say internet is a set of computer networks that communicates using the internet protocol (an intranet) whereas cyberspace is a world of information through the internet.  Mainly there are four suggested characteristics of the cyberspace domain are inter-connectivity, virtual, expansion and ambiguity.

Because of Cyberspace one can read, learn, study, plan, communicate, entertain him as well as others and get access to the whole world in the comfort of his room. Also Internet nourished Service sector, Environment studies, IT Sector. But Cyber-space has disadvantages also like if you use the Internet for online banking, social networking or other services, you may risk a theft of your personal information such as name, address, credit card, number and photos & document files (Stuxnet is the most famous example). Virus attacks, Cybercrimes (through email), Hacking, blackmail and pornography are other major concerns. 

As we had a view on blessings and boons of Cyber-space & Internet, we can broadly say that these are good servants and bad masters. If one uses Cyber-space & Internet wisely, he can attain a lot of knowledge & happiness as well as success in life but if he doesn’t know how to operate it, he can face great loss. We can consider Cyber-space an ocean, if one knows how to swim he can survive otherwise he can’t.  After all, I want to say Cyber-space & Internet are neither blessing nor curse; it’s a good handy helper.
