Comedian Bharti Singh arrested by NCB after admitting consumption of Drugs.

On 21st November (Saturday) morning the Narcotics Control Bureau raided the house of comedian Bharti Singh and producer Harsh Limbachiya. The officials recovered 86.5 grams of cannabis (ganja) from their house.

As per Sameer Wankhade, the Zonal Director , the police recovered Ganja (also called marijuana) from the production office and house of comedian Bharti and Harsh which was raided in the early morning. The consumption of ganja was accepted by the duo. As per the provisions of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act of 1985, Mrs. Bharti Singh has been arrested while examination of Harsh is still underway.

The investigation has been an ongoing probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau into the alleged drug use by the entertainment industry. After having specific information the residence of Bharti Singh at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri was raided.

Bharti Singh is known for her comedy as well as reality shows on television. Harsh has even done few reality shows. The husband wife duo have also hosted few shows on TV.

The investigation on the issue started after the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June, on the basis of chats involving drugs by the accused of the case.

Initially, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, his brother Showik Chakroborty and other employees were arrested under different provisions of the NDPS Act. However Rhea Chakraborty is currently out on bail.
